{GD} History

GD was founded on June 17th of 2004. It was created under a base of rules, and factors we believe in, a creed that was modified to make GD the clan RIP couldn't get to be. Evany and Anioms were also part of its creation and growth. Many former RIPers joined GD shortly after it was born, and are now considered the skeleton of our current members list. New blood was found and together, those older people along with the newer members formed a great group. If you know us well, you'll realize that GD is more than a clan, it's an online community for people from all around the world to gather at. For its members it is more like a family. We expect EVERYONE to respect our rules and our clan. Thanks, and have fun.

{GD} Creed

GD was created under a base of beliefs, like many other clans. We've taken the best out of our past experiences and friendships to make this clan one respected by everybody. We are a Quake III Arena 1.16 clan. While we mainly play CTF and TDM rain-only, we also dabble into all weapons.

– The leadership is of course for LEADING purposes only. We don't use it as a special rank as we don't have a ranking system at all. Every member is equally important and everyday decisions are made as a whole; there is always space for suggestions and well-stated complaints. The forum ranks and permissions are strictly for forum management purposes.

– The recruiting system in GD is simple, but the most important process within our activities. You don't automatically try out for GD, as our current system is invite-only. That means you may request a trial in our Trials board, but will only receive it if the members decide to invite you. We don't recruit skills only; we value attitude and friendship more than anything else. Every person willing to be recruited must make a formal request in the forums. They must also provide information such as previous clans, reasons why they left the clans, age, location, nicknames used in Quake and any other information you consider worth mentioning. The purpose of this is so you can get integrated more easily in the group, and so our members get to know you and vice versa. If we consider you a potential member we might grant you a trial. During your trial period you are expected to be active in the forums and in the game and to be extra careful with your behavior as you will be wearing a white >gd< tag before your name. You MUST NOT consider yourself on trial until we formally give you this opportunity (you definitely DO NOT want to wear our Member {GD} tag or Trial tags until you're officially notified to do so by us). The trial is over when all the active members come to a conclusion and you are either granted membership or your trial is officially failed. Trialees can participate in scrims, but not in clan wars. We are not responsible for the acts of a trialee. We hope you understand that a failed trial doesn't mean you can't keep a relationship with us, unless specified so, you are welcome to post in our forums and play in our servers. In order to become a member you MUST read and agree with this creed.

– Cheating and lying is NOT tolerated in GD. Each potential trialee's case will be managed individually, as much as we like to give everyone a chance, you need to understand that if you've cheated in the past it will take a lot from you to make that up to us and for us to trust you. Any member proven a cheater during their time in GD will be automatically removed from the clan and we will handle the situation as we see fit (this may include a permanent ban in the forums and servers). Lying might result in membership removal, sudden trial rejection/failure and/or a permanent ban in our forums and servers. If you're trying to join GD please disclose if you have cheated in the past or not. If you do not disclose this information to us and we find out, your membership may be revoked.

– We expect our members to respect each other as well as other clans. GD doesn't assume responsibility over individual acts, but these might condition your status as a member (misbehavior might get you removed from the clan). We also expect our members to keep issues of private nature as well as passwords within the boundaries of our private boards. Failure to do so can get you removed from the clan. Loyalty and commitment are important factors: if you want to be part of GD, you must be willing to quit all the clans you may be part of. If you join a different clan without discussing it first with the group, this may result in removal from our clan. Try to be as active as possible. Inactivity without notice might result in removal as well.
